Etheldra Mae Williams

August 9, 1925 ~ July 7, 2006

Born in Asheville, North Carolina and a graduate of the famed Stephens Lee High School. A loving matriarch to eight children, twenty-two grandchildren and seven great-grand children.

Visit the Etheldra Mae Williams Park located on Burgess between Lyndon and Acacia Streets in Detroit, Michigan. An eleven acre grassland that was once blighted is now renovated and beautiful.

Coming Fall of 2020, phase one will be a 20' x 30' rigid pavilion, a one quarter mile walking trail, picnic tables and calisthenic course. Phase two will include a 20' x 20' reflecting pond, a hitching post for weekend equestrian enthusiasts and a portable band shell for theatrical and musical performances.
