“Friends with Classic Cars,” Fall 2022; will happen October 15 & 16 from 11:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. This event will bring together scores of vintage vehicles built between 1907 and 1993. Owners will have an opportunity to reminisce about times gone bye and network with those who like collecting antique auto-cars. There will be Merchandise Vendors, Food Trucks and this year something new.
The "Burgess Street Food Festival," will allow sentimental patrons to reminisce about some of Detroit's most Iconic Restaurants. On hand and selling their famed batter fried shrimp will be the original Dot and Etta's Shrimp Hut and the original "Boogaloo Sandwich" from Greg's Soul-N-The Wall Eatery.
In this park, located at 14300 Burgess Street corner of Acacia, participants can share their love for all things "Classic Automobiles" and all things History. We will have a retro campsite complete with bonfire, folks dressed in period clothing and fun for whole family.
The show is free to the public. Owners of any restored vehicle older than 1993 are welcome to display. Past shows have had in attendance a 1941 Lincoln from the Ford Family, 1962 Cobra that was completely restored plus Model T’s and Model A’s from the 1900 through 1920’s and of course, classic muscle cars. On hand will be a 1926 Model “TT” from the Faygo Beverage Company and many more historic vehicles.
